Today marks Google’s 25th birthday, and it’s a time to reflect on what it’s been through. It all started back in the late 90s when Google was just a couple of doctoral students at Stanford University.
They met through their computer science program and had a common goal: to make the World Wide Web more accessible.
Journey From Dorm Rooms To Garages:
Google Inc. was born out of two college dorms, with founders Susan Brin and Larry Page working feverishly to create a prototype that would make their search engine even more powerful.
As time went on, they moved into Google’s first building, a tiny rented garage. On September 27th, 1998, Google Inc. was officially born.
Journey From Search Engine To AI:
Google is based in Mountain View, California, but it’s now more than just a search engine. It’s got a lot more to do, like AI, online ads, cloud stuff, and all sorts of cool tech. The CEO of Google and Alphabet is an Indian, so it’s not just about the search engine anymore.
